Green Shopping Center Plans June Opening

Rivertowne Place, South Carolina's first shopping center registered under the Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system, will open in Mt. Pleasant in mid-June with a new Harris Teeter prototype grocery and three new tenants, according to Tom Fox of Fox Commercial Properties, the Greenville-based developer.

New tenants at Rivertowne Place are 41 Holdings, which leased 3,600 square feet to operate O'Brion's Pub & Restaurant; JD Ventures, which will occupy 1,200 square feet for Rivertowne Spirits liquor store and Rivertowne Alterations and Cleaning, which leased 1,200 square feet.

Harris Teeter will take up the majority of the 80,000 square feet of energy-efficient retail space at the 18-acre site of S.C. Highway 41 and Rivertowne Parkway.
